Lease opportunity at Runaway Bay Sports Precinct

We’re inviting community-based, not-for-profit organisations to apply for a lease to operate the tennis/racquet sports facility at the Runaway Bay Sports Precinct.

This is a great opportunity for organisations that can confidently manage a facility and deliver accessible, high-quality programs that support and benefit the local community.

About the site

The facility is located within the Runaway Bay Sports Precinct (West), alongside other established sporting clubs including cricket, netball and indoor sports. It’s easily accessed via Sports Drive and is part of a well-used regional recreation hub. The site is described as Lot 1 on SP318163 and is a Reserve for Park and Recreation under the control of the City as trustee.

Who can apply

To be eligible, your organisation must:

  • be a not-for-profit, community-based organisation
  • deliver clear benefits to the local community
  • primarily support and serve residents within the City of Gold Coast
  • be financially stable and able to hold appropriate insurance
  • submit a complete application addressing all requirements.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for organisations that can:

  • provide high-quality programs, services and activities
  • make the most of the facility to meet community needs
  • build strong partnerships within the community
  • manage and maintain the site to a high standard
  • meet all safety, risk management and legal requirements
  • maintain relevant sporting body affiliations (if applicable).
