Filming at Gold Coast aquatic centres

Filming at any City-managed aquatic centres requires a film production licence. This can be obtained through the City's Licencing and Approvals branch.

Please note that there is a licence fee which you may apply to be reduced if you fit the relevant criteria. This is detailed within the application form.

This applies to:

  • film

  • commercial
  • still photography
  • video clips
  • corporate videos
  • student films.

In addition to this, Gold Coast Aquatic Centres charges the following fees:

  • $500 per hour for film
  • $500 per hour for photography.

Any exclusive use of pools or lane space also incurs pool and lane hire fees which differ by venue, pool and peak/off-peak times.

Any filming outside of regular trading hours will also incur fees to have the required number of lifeguards on site at the venue.
