Regular hire expressions of interest for 2025

We are now accepting 2025 booking enquiries from regular hirers for recurring use of our indoor and outdoor facilities. Simply complete the expression of interest form below by COB Sunday 13 October 2024.

Our competition-standard courts are available for casual or regular hire for individuals, clubs and groups. Our friendly staff will set the courts for the sport of your choice.

The event spaces at Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre are nothing short of spectacular. Our 2 large halls are perfect for large-scale events with flexible design options.

We have a variety of rooms and unique spaces available at competitive rates, with tailored food and beverage packages to suit every occasion.

Book a room

Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre is a multipurpose facility. It's located in Carrara alongside People First Stadium.

The centre offers 15 courts that can host a variety of indoor sports as well as general indoor fitness activities. The venue has 2 large halls split by a central hallway named 'The Street'.

The centre also has numerous meeting and function spaces available with in-house catering options and 400 carparks located underneath the venue.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday: 6am to 10:30pm
Weekends: 8am to 9:30pm
Booking office: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Cashless payments

Please note that Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre does not accept cash. Payment can be made by EFTPOS.

Venue information

Changing Places toilet

The centre has a Changing Places toilet at the northern end of Level 2. Access to this facility does not require a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK).

Library kiosk

A Library kiosk is located at the northern end of Ground Level, directly below the Courtside Café.

Offering a more convenient way for members to borrow books from our City Libraries. It’s completely self-service and easy to use for City of Gold Coast library card holders.

Lost property

Major Venues is not responsible for personal property left at the venues.

Due to the high volume of sporting activity and events in our venues, we are unable to store lost items. Where possible items will be returned to the sporting club or event organiser.

Please contact the organising party directly for lost items.

Sporting field hire

The Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre is a part of the wider Gold Coast Sports Precinct, which offers a variety of community and elite sporting fields for regular or single hire.

Courtside Café

Located on Level 1, at the northern end of the building, Courtside Café is open daily from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

Evening hours occur most nights during the week and over the weekend, based on bookings in the venue.

Enjoy coffee, breakfast, or lunch against the backdrop of our elite sporting fields.

Filming & photography

Our venues are very popular with the film industry and staging of sport photography shoots. Filming at any City of Gold Coast Venue requires a film production licence to film or take photographs for commercial purposes.

Any use of the venue or court space also incurs hire fees. Please contact the Bookings Department on 07 5581 7082 or email majorsportingvenues@goldcoast.qld.gov.au to secure a space. Any filming outside of regular trading hours will incur additional fees.
