Built for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, the centre features two large halls split by a central hallway named 'The Street'. This spectacular interior design won the prestigious G.H.M. Addison Award for Interior Architecture at the 2018 Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Architecture Awards.

Shootarounds

Shootarounds at Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre are available from 6am on weekdays and from 8am on weekends. Bookings are required after 4pm. For pricing, weekly availability times and Dr Dish shootaround machine hire visit our Basketball shootarounds page.

Conference facilities

We can host conferences for up to 500 people depending on your preferred room layout. The Currumbin room has expansive views of the Gold Coast Hinterland and is bathed in natural light. Or you might choose to host in our Tallebudgera room overlooking Hall 1 with access to the members' bar. You can also join both rooms to create the perfect conference venue.

You have options to create flexible spaces that might include break out areas or team building activities. The rooms are equipped with AV and Wi-Fi. Staging and lecterns are available to hire and there are delicious, healthy catering options.

Functions

Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre offers flexible spaces for events of all sizes. Our meeting rooms are ideal for business gatherings, while the Tallebudgera and Currumbin rooms provide the perfect setting for large corporate occasions—from presentations and cocktail functions to buffet breakfasts and gala dinners.

Changing places

The centre has a Changing Places toilet at the northern end of Level 2. Access to this facility does not require a Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK). Download equipment instructions and conditions of use from at Changing Places toilets.

Courtside Café

Enjoy coffee, breakfast or lunch against the backdrop of our elite sporting fields.

Located on Level 1 at the northern end of the building, Courtside Café is open daily from 7:30am to 2:30pm. Evening hours are based on bookings in the venue.

Filming and photography

Our venues are very popular with the film industry and for sport photography shoots. Filming at any City of Gold Coast venue requires a film production licence to film or take photographs for commercial purposes.

Any use of the venue or court space also incurs hire fees. Please contact the Bookings Department on 07 5581 7082 or email majorvenues@goldcoast.qld.gov.au to secure a space. Filming outside of regular trading hours will incur additional fees.
