The Gold Coast Sports Precinct was the centrepiece of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, hosting key events like the opening and closing ceremonies, athletics, badminton, weightlifting, powerlifting, and wrestling.

It features three main venues – Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre, Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium, and People First Stadium – along with the Alabaster fields and the elite AFL and NRL fields, plus secure parking and amenities

The precinct is ideal for large outdoor events such as car shows, markets, drive-in cinemas, and live performances.

Alabaster Fields

Nine community fields that offer a versatile, well-maintained space for local sports teams and recreational activities. Ideal for grassroots games, training sessions, and community events. These fields feature quality turf, ample space, and accessible amenities to support a wide range of sports.

Alabaster West – features 3 multipurpose fields and 90 carparks.

Alabaster East – features 6 multipurpose fields and 680 carparks.

Elite AFL field

Offering a world-class playing surface, designed to meet the highest standards for professional training and competitions. The field features a full-sized, regulation AFL oval, equipped with premium turf and lighting, and nearby amenities.

Whether it’s elite-level AFL matches or elite team training sessions, this field provides a premier venue. It has ample space, excellent accessibility, and flexibility to support various sports codes.

Elite NRL field

A premier field designed to meet the standards of professional sports codes. With a top-quality, regulation-sized playing surface, this field offers exceptional turf for elite-level training and competition.

Prices below are per field, per hour and are subject to availability, from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.

Peak prices apply for bookings after 4pm.

People First Stadium

Home of the Gold Coast SUNS AFL and AFLW teams, the stadium also hosts a range of world-class concerts and cricket events year-round.

AusCycling National BMX Freestyle Facility

This high-performance training facility for the Australian BMX Freestyle teams is located within the Gold Coast Sport Precinct.

Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre

Located alongside People First Stadium, Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre is a world-class facility offering 15 multipurpose courts across 2 expansive halls.

Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium

Located between People First Stadium and Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, this multipurpose facility is home to Gold Coast Basketball, Squash Australia and AusCycling BMX. The facility can host up to 1600 spectators.

The facility is available for casual users, regular hire, major events, and competitions.
