Green organics drop & go

Varied hours: Due to peak demand, there may be varied hours at some waste and recycling centres. Refer to our map page for opening hours. To avoid long queues and congestion, sort your load beforehand and visit outside of peak times (10am to 2pm daily, weekends and public holidays). Please be kind and patient.

Public holidays: Collection services operate as usual over public holidays. WRCs are open every day except Christmas Day and Good Friday.

We provide green organics drop-and-go sites at select waste and recycling centres across the Gold Coast. This makes the recycling of green organics fast and easy.

Residents can drive in and drop green organics directly off the back of vehicles and trailers onto a designated ground level area. This eliminates the need for lifting and loading into bins, which means reduced wait times and a faster trip.

You can dispose of large quantities of green organics at your convenience. Load limits apply: maximum 2.1 x 1.5 metres and 1 metre in height.

Commercial mowing and landscape gardeners can only use Stapylton, Molendinar and Reedy Creek facilities and will be required to pay to use this service. See the current Register of fees and charges for more details.
