Pimpama Recycling Centre is open every day, Monday to Sunday, between 7am and 4:50pm, except on Good Friday and Christmas Day.

Plan ahead and save time

1. Check that you are only bringing recycling and green organics.

Our Pimpama centre does not accept:

• general waste – the closest facilities accepting general waste are Helensvale and Jacobs Well
• commercial or work waste – the closest facilities accepting commercial or work waste are Stapylton and Reedy Creek. Our Molendinar centre accepts commercial green organics only.

2. Check that your items are accepted at this centre, using the list below.

3. Sort your load before you leave home to make your visit to the recycling centre easy. For example, ensure your cardboard boxes are free from styrofoam.

4. Time your visit outside the peak demand period between 10am and 2pm to avoid delays.

• comingled recyclables (yellow top bins)
• cooking oil (up to 20 litres)

• household batteries (rechargeable and non-rechargeable)
• household hazardous waste
• microwave ovens
• motor oil
• paint
• residential green organics (max load 2.1m x 1.5m x 1m)
• vapes.

Items not accepted

• commercial green organics and recycling
• general waste
• polystyrene
• soft plastics and plastic wrapping for e-waste
• soil
• sand
• concrete
• brick
• tile
• asphalt.

Disposal conditions

Residents can use our waste and recycling centres to dispose of certain items fee-free, within certain limits. It is free to drop off separated, recyclable materials at waste centre recycling areas.
