Accessing drinking water in a dual reticulation area
Contractors in areas with dual reticulation can access drinking by attaching an approved metered standpipe issued by us. Prior approval required.
To reduce the risk of hose or fitting damage, operation of the water meter should be by water main gate valve. The use of the water meter is subject to current City metered standpipe approval requirements. See the Approval for supply of drinking water through a metered standpipe document(PDF, 711KB)
