Kurrawa beach and parkland are part of the vibrant Broadbeach oceanfront precinct. The beaches here are flanked by wide dunes with native she-oak and macaranga trees. There are several playgrounds in the beachside parks, which are also home to annual events, weekend markets and weekly yoga and fitness classes. The park contains toilets, barbecues, tables, shade structures, playgrounds and beach showers. Ride your bike or stroll along the Oceanway which runs through the park. Broadbeach mall is just a stone's throw from the beach and offers cafes, alfresco dining and nightclubs.
Warning: Avoid steep and unstable sand scarps. Walking on or beneath them is dangerous as they may collapse.
Make sure you swim in the patrolled area between the red and yellow flags. Kurrawa has 3 patrol locations. At times, a patrol may be closed due to dangerous swimming conditions, unsafe beach conditions or beach maintenance works.
