Damian Leeding Memorial Park

Damian Leeding Memorial Park playground

Regatta Lake is situated within this park and is suitable for secondary contact, non-motorised water activities which include rowing, sailing, kayaking, and model boats.

Please note: Care should be taken when entering the lake as the shores fall quickly into deep water and the depth will vary with the tide. Due to the water quality, swimming is not permitted within the lake.

The park also has a 3.9-kilometre walking track that loops around the lake. Exercise equipment is scattered throughout the parkland making this an ideal park for a walk, run or total workout!

The main playground is partially shade covered, and unfenced. Younger children will love the emergency themed vehicles to ride on, as well as the swing set. Older children are catered for with a flying fox and net climbing tower.

There are several picnic shelters along the water’s edge all around the lake, making this a great spot for a picnic. Don’t forget to bring a ball as there are plenty of open green spaces for some ball sports!

A second playground with a picnic barbecue area is found on the corner of Regatta Avenue and Princeton Street. The playground is simple in design with a slide, monkey bars, steering wheels, rockers and swings. All easily accessible for younger children.

Public toilet facilities are available as you enter Michael Shelley Way.

Onsite parking is on Michael Shelley Way. The public boat ramp is at the end of this car park.
