Situated behind the Council Chambers and Home of the Arts (HOTA), these parklands offer amazing views over the Nerang River and the Surfers Paradise skyline. A beautiful location for a stroll, picnic, swim, jog or a wedding ceremony.

Park features 

  • Evandale Lake – an enclosed swimming lagoon for all to enjoy
  • HOPO Ferry Stop – to board/disembark the ferry
  • St Margaret's Chapel – for wedding ceremonies and church services
  • Fitness stations – free exercise equipment located around the park
  • Playground – slides and climbing equipment, sand soft-fall, fully fenced, covered by shade sails
  • Picnic facilities – ample shaded seating with barbecues
  • Outdoor showers and drinking fountains
  • Public toilets (closed during the night)
  • Car parking – plenty of parking including accessible parking spaces at the front of HOTA

Accessibility

Access for people with disabilities includes several disabled parking bays out the front of the parkland, near the playground. Disabled toilets with ramp available via the side gate. Pathways around and through the parkland.

Dog exercise areas

Dogs must always be on leash unless in a signed designated off leash area. Tough penalties apply.

Make sure you read and understand the rules about where you can take your dog.

There are no off leash dog exercise areas in these parklands. Dogs are prohibited from the playground and the swimming enclosure.

City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.
