John Laws Park

Kids playing cricket in a park

John Laws Park offers one of the most magical views anywhere in the world! A stunning park right atop Burleigh Headland, there are views all the way to Surfers Paradise.

Each weekend, picnic and barbecues are a plenty, with the grassy hill area a popular destination for get togethers. Bring your own picnic, or grab a takeaway meal or coffee from the coffee shops nearby. Burleigh Heads Surf Club offers meals all day, or enjoy the popular picnic fare of fish and chips!

At the top of Burleigh Hill is the Burleigh Heads National Park. This is a popular walking or running track, with two loop options - rainforest or ocean view. The return journeys are 2.3 and 2.4 kilometres respectively, offering superb views and the relaxing soothe of the rainforest escape. Access to the patrolled Burleigh Beach is just around the corner, too.

The kids aren't forgotten, and the slippery dip and swings in John Laws Park have the best views on the Coast!

The park also features a DDA-compliant accessible toilet design specifically for those with disabilities and special needs.
