Pirate Park playground renewal

The much loved pirate ship playground in undergoing a renovation with works to begin from the 5 January 2022.  The playground will be closed for a few months to enable the City to bring you a new and improved pirate ship playground that the kids will love. To find out more visit the project page.

Palm Beach Parklands is one of the best and most popular areas on the Gold Coast!

The beautiful open space parklands, overlooking Currumbin Creek is the place for a great day out by the water.

Palm Beach Parklands is just one of the many signature parks on the Gold Coast, home to a themed playground. The pirate ship theme of Treasure Island playground was especially designed to stimulate young minds, encourage imaginative play and provide fun for children of all ages. Dress the kids up in their favourite pirate outfit and get in the spirit.

A perfect day out at Palm Beach Parklands is complete with the on-site Dune Cafe offering breakfast and lunch from 7.30am. 

Two modern amenities areas – one adjoining the cafe, and another at the southern end of the pirate ship - provide great options for parents with littlies. There are disabled toilets in each of the amenities areas.

For those that prefer to take a dip in the ocean, change rooms and showers are also available.

A visit to Palm Beach Parklands will not disappoint.

What's on at Palm Beach Parklands

Dog prohibited area

This park has a dog prohibited area. There is an off-leash dog exercise area on the beach in the adjoining Rockview public park. Please see the map below for details of these boundaries.

A dog prohibited area is the signed part of a park, reserve, foreshore or beach where dogs are not permitted. Dogs are prohibited in all children's playground areas and within 200 metres of all flagged bathing areas.
