Point Danger

Located on the Queensland / New South Wales (NSW) border, high on a peak overlooking the ocean, with amazing views to Surfers Paradise to the north and Byron Bay to the south. It's also a short walk to the famous Snapper Rocks surf spot.

On top of the headland are park facilities including a barbecue, picnic tables and shelters, as well as the Coolangatta Centaur Memorial and Walk of Remembrance, honouring the lives lost during World War II. You can also explore the Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse. Down in the lower area are more picnic facilities. To access this area, follow the footpath towards Duranbah Beach NSW.

Onsite carparking is available along Tweed Terrace. Public Toilets are located at an adjacent park in Snapper Rocks.

A beautiful spot on the Gold Coast in Coolangatta. It offers stunning ocean views, making it a magic location for your wedding ceremony. Photo opportunities:

Beachside parking options are available for your guests. An amenities building is located 250 metres walk away at Apex Park (Snapper Rocks).

Dog exercise areas

Dogs must be walked on a leash unless otherwise stated. The beach and foreshore area is prohibited to dogs, signage is in place. City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.

Accessibility

Disabled parking bays are available near the Captain Cool Memorial & Lighthouse on Tweed Terrace. No accessible toilets available. Park facilities are accessible via the connecting pathways.
