Pratten Park
Popular with locals, this park features
- 2 playgrounds
- an off-leash dog exercise area
- fantastic picnic facilities with barbecues
- several beach access points
- and lots of green, open space to enjoy.
Exercise equipment is scattered along the pathway, as well as bike racks, drinking fountains and benches, perfect for an outdoor workout.
A user guide including a workout log template can be viewed on Zmags' website.
On-site carparking can be found at the Old Burleigh Road and Margaret Avenue round-a-bout or at the Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club. There is also plenty of off-street parking available.
The adjoining connected park is Kurrawa Park which is a premium beachfront space on the Gold Coast and features Kurrawa Terrace.
Playgrounds
Pratten Park is home to the Gold Coast's first All Abilities Playground.
At the northern end of the park, the all-abilities playground has a huge hill slide, flying fox, a swing set catering for up to 5 children or a fully harnessed seat for those who need more support. The fully fenced playground provides access for all children to experience fun, interactive and challenging play, while their families and carers watch over them in an enjoyable and relaxing environment.
The second playground is towards the southern end, where children can try out the pedal-powered monorail, climb the pirate ship and slip down the slides.
Accessibility
As well as the All Abilities playground, the park also features a toilet and adult-sized changing facility designed specifically for those with disabilities and special needs. This facility includes an adjustable height change table, ceiling tracking hoist and toilet. A Master Locksmith Access Key (MLAK) is required for access. Two off-street accessible car parking spaces are located approximately 100 metres south of the facility.

Dog exercise area
Pratten Park has a large off leash dog area at the southern end, opposite Broadbeach State School.
Dogs must be walked on-leash in all other areas and are prohibited in all children's playgrounds.
City of Gold Coast has numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash, with one of these areas in Pratten Park.
