Queen Elizabeth Park
Located in the heart of the southern Gold Coast, situated between the foreshore of Greenmount Beach and Coolangatta’s retail and dining precinct.
A recreation park with barbecue facilities, picnic shelters, two playgrounds and wide pathways, it's perfect for a walk or a family get together, picnics, birthdays, weddings, or host a major city event.
The main playground is located opposite The Strand dining precinct and is shaped like a boat, with climbing bridges, walls and rings. There is a double slide and steering wheel, plus a swing set.
There are two patrolled swimming areas:
- Coolangatta Beach – at the northern end of the park in front of the Coolangatta Surf Club, patrolled between 8am and 5pm every day, all year round
- Greenmount Beach – at the southern end of the park in front of the Greenmount Surf Club, patrolled between 8am and 5pm every day, all year round
Outdoor showers are scattered along the coastal walk. Access to the beach volleyball courts on Coolangatta Beach is opposite Warner Street.
The Art and Craft Beachside Markets are located here. They are held on the second Sunday of the month from 8am to 2pm.
Toilet facilities are available, as well as onsite car parking along Marine Parade.
Dog exercise areas
Dogs must be walked on a leash unless otherwise stated and are totally prohibited in all children's playground areas.
Coolangatta and Greenmount beaches are dog-prohibited areas.
City of Gold Coast as numerous areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.

Accessibility
Disabled parking bays available in the onsite carpark and along Marine Paradise. Disabled toilets are available. Park facilities are accessible via the connecting pathways.
Events
With sweeping coastline and cityscape views, Queen Elizabeth Park is well equipped with open parkland suitable for multiple activations. Host to events such as the annual Cooly Rocks On Festival, the Coolangatta Christmas Carols and New Year’s Eve fireworks celebrations, the park is the perfect open space for beachside events of any scale.
