Ron Short Park

Located opposite the Alicia Street shops, you can grab a coffee and head on over to the park. Bring a picnic blanket and set up under the trees, or make use of the picnic shelter by the playground.

There is a cricket practice net available to use and a large soccer field in the middle of the park with goals at each end.

The fully fenced playground is bright purple and yellow! Designed for young ones, you'll find nets, monkey bars, rope bridges and plenty of platforms to climb between. Best suited for children over 3 years of age, there is also a swing set, rockers and interactive panels for younger children.

There are public toilets at the southern end of the park, next to the Gold Coast Dog Obedience Training Club.

Car parking bays are along Alicia Street.

Dog exercise areas

This park is a designated off leash dog park, where dogs can exercise and socialise off lead, under effective control.

Dogs must always be on leash unless in a signed designated off leash area. Dogs are prohibited in children's playground areas. Tough penalties apply.

City of Gold Coast has many areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.

Disabled toilets are available. There is limited pathway access in this park. There are pathways to the toilets and building clubhouse, however no pathways throughout the park.
