Sickle Park

This gorgeous waterfront park in Hope Island has something for everyone. For those who like to exercise, the footpath loops around the park making a great track to walk and run around. There's fitness equipment along the way, too.

The large grassy field in the centre of the park is prefect for social games. The park also features 3 tennis courts.

The key drawcard is the playground, with a 12-metre-long net tunnel snaking its way through the sandy play area. Alongside it stands a smaller play structure. It has a slide, merry-go-round style spinner, swings and a few balancing elements. Being on the canal, close supervision is required.

The park has picnic shelters with barbecues overlooking the Hope Island North Canal, making a scenic, relaxing spot for a picnic.

There are public toilets near the tennis courts.

Car parking bays are along Sickle Avenue and Park Cove Boulevard.

Dog exercise areas

This park has a designated area where dogs can exercise off leash, under effective control.

Dogs must always be on leash unless in a signed designated off leash area. Dogs are prohibited in children's playground areas. Tough penalties apply.

City of Gold Coast has many areas where you can exercise your dog off leash.
