Nestled along the banks of Tallebudgera Creek, Tchoobey Reserve is a tranquil natural escape featuring an 85m boardwalk winding through mangrove and casuarina forest. The boardwalk leads to a kayak launch and seating area, offering a perfect starting point for paddlers to explore the creek and nearby reserves such as Schuster Park. The reserve’s shaded open spaces also provide an ideal setting for a picnic or a quiet moment by the water.
The City delivers ecological restoration at Tchoobey Reserve, enhancing natural habitats that support diverse birdlife, including kingfishers, egrets, and ospreys often seen along the boardwalk. Its mangrove and casuarina forests help stabilise the shoreline, filter runoff, and provide vital wildlife habitat.
Access to the boardwalk can either be via Tchoobey Reserve carpark on Tchoobey Close, or David Fleay Wildlife Park carpark on Loman Lane (8am – 8pm).
