Thorn Park

Located on the Miami waterfront between Hythe Street and Chairlift Avenue East, is a family-friendly beachside park.

The park stretches approximately one kilometre from end to end, and features fantastic barbecue and picnic facilities along the famed Gold Coast Oceanway.

There are 2 patrolled swimming areas at Miami Beach:

Opposite Hythe Street and Miami Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Patrolled all year round.
Opposite Santa Monica Road. Patrolled weekends between September and April.

The kids will love the playground, which includes a swing set, bird's nest swing, spinner, spring rocker, and slide. All set on sand soft-fall for safety.

At the northern end of the park there is a small outdoor gym area, where you can work up a sweat while enjoying the stunning ocean views.

Plenty of car parking bays are available along Marine Parade.

Modern public toilet facilities with disability access are available near the playground (opposite Santa Monica Road).

Accessibility

A disability car parking spot is at the northern end, and another is next to the playground. Disability toilets are available. Park facilities are accessible via the connecting pathways.
