Bilinga – Golden Four Drive – Road reconstruction

Commencing: February 2020
Completion: June 2020
Cost: $2.7 million

Project information

As part of our Road Reconstruction Program we'll be reconstructing Golden Four Drive between Gibson Street and Graham Street to improve the overall condition of the road surface and reduce the need for regular maintenance. In addition, pathway and stormwater infrastructure will be upgraded.

Construction details

  • road reconstruction and new kerb and channel
  • vehicle crossover reconstruction
  • upgraded footpath
  • pathway connecting traffic signals at Gold Coast Hwy/Kirribin St with Golden Four Drive
  • new and upgraded stormwater infrastructure.

During construction there'll be temporary changes to traffic conditions along Golden Four Drive. We'll continue to work with the community to minimise disruptions. However, local residents and businesses may be impacted by road closures and traffic detours, limited access, construction noise and dust.

Please slow down around roadworks and take extra care in the area. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our city.

Benefits for the community

  • improved road surface and amenity
  • a widened pathway to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists, and encourage active travel.
  • improved local area stormwater drainage.
  • reduce maintenance costs.
