Netanya

Netanya, Israel is a lively city offering visitors beautiful beaches, rugged cliffs, nature reserves and green parklands. Netanya is a true resort town complete with restaurants, entertainment, culture and festivals. Sports along the beach are also popular including paragliding, outdoor fitness facilities and beach soccer league games.

Population: Netanya has a population of over 250,000 making it the seventh largest city in Israel. This multicultural city has over 30 percent of its population as immigrants.

Language: The official language of Netanya is Hebrew. 

Location: Netanya is a coastal city located north of Tel Aviv and south of Haifa.

Climate: Netanya has a climate that is classified as warm and temperate. Rain falls mostly in the winter months, with no rain in summer. Temperatures are highest in August and January tends to be the coldest month of the year.

Distance from the Gold Coast: Approximately 23 hours by plane.

Local time: The local time of Netanya is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) +3, which makes it seven hours behind the Gold Coast.
