Free dog registration for seniors and veterans
Owners of desexed dogs may apply for fee relief for dog registrations if the owner is 60 years of age or over, or a veteran(conditions apply).
By 2031, the number of senior residents on the Gold Coast is expected to double - accounting for over 20 per cent of the city's population.
We support seniors to lead active lives and to participate in community life. Information about specific initiatives is provided below. We provide a citywide network of designated, free to use recharging power points for people to safely recharge the battery of their electric mobility device.
