Community Recovery Hotline

If you have no other means of getting food or essential items, contact the Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349. The hotline has been activated by the Queensland Government to assist people who have been advised to quarantine at home by a medical professional, Queensland Health or by direction from government and who have no other mechanisms for support.

National COVID Older Persons Information Line

Older persons and carers are encouraged to call 1800 171 866 to speak to friendly, specially trained staff from a seniors advocacy organisation. The new COVID-19 hotline will assist older Australians to get the critical information they need to stay healthy and safe during the pandemic.

Please visit our Community support page for additional COVID-19 information.

By 2031, the number of senior residents on the Gold Coast is expected to double – accounting for over 20% of the city's population.

We support seniors to lead active lives and to participate in community life. Information about specific initiatives is provided below. There are also several places on our website where you may find activities and events throughout the City for which all ages may be welcome such as the Events page and Gold Coast Community Directory.
