Environmental health services
We maximise environmental and public health within a community environment by identifying, preventing and remedying health and environmental related hazards and risks.
Immunisation
From January 2016, Queensland Health’s Gold Coast Public Health Unit will provide immunisation services for the city, i.e. immunisation clinics for children and the Annual School Immunisation Program.
Active and healthy lifestyles
The Gold Coast offers residents an unmatched work-life balance and a healthier and more active lifestyle than any other Australian city. We aim to positively influence physical activity and healthy eating behaviours by offering over 170 free and low cost activities per week and activating a range of City facilities including parks, libraries, community centres and aquatic centres.
Red Cross Blood Service
The Red Cross Mobile Blood Bank makes regular visits to the Surfers Paradise Council Chambers and Nerang customer service centre as well as a host of other locations around the city.
