New Braille bin lid stickers now available for residents

Residents who are blind or have low vision can now request Braille stickers to identify the different types of bins. The stickers are being launched as part of International Day of People with Disability. This program helps people in our community who are blind or have low vision to lead independent lives.

The Braille stickers are available free of charge by request. They will identify the following bin types:

  • general waste bin
  • recycling bin
  • green organics bin.

Place the stickers at the front and centre of the bin lid on the same side as the writing that states ‘This side to road’. Clean the area where the sticker will go with an alcohol wipe before application.

Residents can request the Braille stickers by:

Please let us know if you need help applying the stickers.
