Project information

The City is constructing an adventure playground including wet play elements for the recreation needs of the growing population in Nerang.

The playground will be a unique natural play landscape capturing the local character of country, farm and nature.

Play attractions include an 11-metre-high custom windmill and water tank tower connected via a clatter bridge.

Works also include picnic facilities, additional car parking and footpaths to increase the capacity of the parkland for recreation and events.

Construction commenced in May 2020 and completion is anticipated in February 2021.

Check back here for more project updates over the coming months.

Impacts

There will be minimal impact during construction to park users.

However, at times the existing footpath and road network will be managed via traffic control or safety diversions put in place to allow new crossings and footpaths to be built and provide access for machinery and deliveries on site.
