  1. Residential green organics will ONLY be accepted at centres with 'Green organics drop and go' which includes Pimpama, Molendinar, Merrimac, Reedy Creek and Staplyton.
  2. eWaste is only accepted at Helensvale, Molendinar, Merrimac and Reedy Creek Waste and Recycling Centres.

The City’s waste management facilities experience peak demand between 10am and 2pm. Avoid delays by timing your visit outside these times.

Accepted items

The Currumbin Valley Waste and Recycling Centre accepts general waste and recycles the following items:

  • car batteries (lead acid)
  • cardboard
  • charity donation bins
  • comingled recyclables (yellow top bins) – aluminium cans, paper, plastic and glass bottles
  • concrete (small domestic loads only)
  • gas bottles – empty (up to nine kilograms)
  • motor oil
  • soil and clean fill (road base and clay base only - small domestic loads only).

This centre does not accept the following:

Residential Green Organics this is only accepted at our ‘Green organics drop and go’ located at Pimpama, Molendinar, Merrimac, Reedy Creek and Staplyton..

Commercial or work waste is accepted at the waste and recycling centres at Staplyton (all), Reedy Creek (all) and Molendinar (commercial green organics only).

E-waste is accepted Helensvale, Molendinar, Merrimac and Reedy Creek.
