Overview
The Gold Coast Planning Scheme Policies support the local dimension of the Planning Scheme to appropriately deal with matters of local planning detail, such as design standards, guidance on the additional information Council wants applicants to submit with development applications, or statements of policy that support the Planning Scheme and provide greater meaning to the Planning Scheme.
Enquiries regarding the Gold Coast Planning Scheme Policies can be made at the Town Planning Advice Centre at the Nerang Council Office or by contacting Council on (07) 5582 8708.
The Gold Coast Planning Scheme Policies are available electronically on CD and are viewable on Council's website. The CD can be purchased at the Nerang, Bundall and Coolangatta Council Offices or via the
Planning Scheme Mail Order Form.
Statutory Matters
The Gold Coast Planning Scheme 2003 was initially developed in accordance with the Integrated Planning Act (IPA) 1997. Given that the Planning Scheme is a living document, it is periodically reviewed and amended in accordance with State legislation relevant at the time.
