Download an ebook

Libby, by Overdrive

1. Download and open the Libby, by Overdrive app.
2. Select 'Yes' when prompted if you have a library card.
3. Select 'Search for a Library'.
4. Search for and select 'Gold Coast Libraries'.
5. Select 'Sign In With My Card'.
6. Enter your membership number and password.
7. Browse or search for a title using the magnifying glass. You can filter your results by selecting the icon with three lines and choosing your preferences
8. Select 'Borrow' and then 'Borrow' again when you find a title.
9. Once the title has downloaded, select 'Open Book' to read now or 'Keep Browsing' to return to your search.
10. You can view all borrowed items through the ‘Shelf’ tab on the main screen’s bottom toolbar. The ‘Shelf’ tab’s icon is two stacked books. Your loans will automatically return at the end of the loan period.

BorrowBox

1. Download and open the BorrowBox app.
2. Select ‘Library’ and search for 'Gold Coast Libraries'.
3. Enter your membership number and password, then select 'Sign In'.
4. Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
5. Search for specific titles using the magnifying glass icon or browse using the 'eBooks' icon
6. Select your book of choice then select 'Borrow' and 'Confirm Loan'.
7. Select 'Read Now' to begin your book. Your loan will automatically return at the end of the loan period.

Listen to an audiobook

Libby, by Overdrive

10. Once the title has downloaded, select 'Open Magazine' to read now or 'Keep Browsing' to return to your search.
11. You can view all borrowed items through the 'Shelf' tab on the main screen's bottom toolbar. The 'Shelf' tab's icon is two stacked books. Your loans will automatically return at the end of the loan period.

1. Download and open the PressReader app.
2. Select 'Sign In' and then select 'Libraries & Groups'.
3. Search for and select 'Gold Coast Libraries'.
4. Enter your membership number and password, then select 'Sign in'.
5. Complete the fields to create your PressReader account.
6. Browse or search for a magazine or newspaper.
7. Select your item of choice, then select 'Read'.
8. You can view all downloaded titles through the 'Downloaded' tab on the toolbar.

1. Download and open the CloudLibrary app.
2. Choose 'Select Language' and scroll to find your language. Once highlighted, tap anywhere on the screen.
3. Select country 'Australia', state 'Queensland', and library 'Gold Coast Libraries Language Collection'.
4. Accept the Terms and Conditions.
5. Enter your membership number and password.
6. Browse or search for a title using the magnifying glass.
7. Select your item of choice then select 'Borrow' and then 'Read'.
8. You can view all borrowed items through the 'My Books' tab on the main screen's bottom toolbar. Your loans will automatically return at the end of the loan period.

1. Download and open the Freegal Music app.
2. Search for 'Gold Coast', then select 'Gold Coast Libraries'.
3. Enter your membership number and password.
4. Search for specific artists or explore genres, playlists, and albums.
5. Stream unlimited music or download 5 songs to keep each month.

Kanopy

1. Download and open the Kanopy app.
2. Select ‘Get Started’.
3. Select ‘Find Library’.
4. Allow the app to find you by location OR search for and select ‘City of Gold Coast Libraries’.
5. Enter your membership number and password.
6. Fill in your details and select ‘Sign Up’ to finish creating your Kanopy account.
7. You can now browse and watch movies, series, and more.
8. You can use up to 10 credits per month, or stream unlimited content using Kanopy Kids.

LinkedIn Learning

1. Download and open the LinkedIn Learning app.
2. Select ‘Sign in’.
3. Select ‘Sign in with your library card’.
4. Enter ‘gclibraries’ as the Library ID.
5. Enter your membership number and password.
6. Browse popular learning paths or search for skills, subject, and software.
7. Select a course and get started.

Mango Languages

1. Download and open the Mango Languages app.
2. Select 'Start Learning' then select any language. You can add, remove, and change languages later.
3. Select 'Skip to Signup' in the top corner.
4. Enter your email and create a password to create your account.
5. Select 'Search' next to 'Find Free Mango'.
6. Search for and select 'City of Gold Coast Libraries'.
7. Select 'Continue', then enter your membership number and password.
8. Select 'View Unlocked Content'.
9. You can now begin lessons in your chosen language. You can also add or remove languages through the 'Change Language' page.

Access your library account

Gold Coast Libraries app

1. Download and open the Gold Coast Libraries app from Google Play or Apple app store.
2. Select ‘Login’.
3. Enter your membership number and password.
4. Select 'Discover' to explore the catalogue, place items on hold and borrow digital content.
5. Select 'Library' to find your closest library location and opening hours.
6. Select 'My Titles' to view and manage your Holds and Checkouts.
7. Select 'My Account' to view and manage your account details.
8. Tip: Enable Face ID to make logging in easier each time you open the app.
9. Note: If you're having trouble signing in, you may need to update your password.
