Public holiday closures
All Gold Coast Libraries will be closed from Friday 3 to Monday 6 April for the Easter long weekend.
While we're closed you can still access our eLibrary for eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines and more.
Helensvale Library closure and temporary location
Helensvale Library and Cultural Centre is being upgraded to enhance customer experience and provide improved facilities for our community. The upgrade is scheduled for September 2025 to May 2026 (subject to change) and will include repainting, new carpet, updated furniture and workstations, acoustic wall treatment, and the installation of a new air conditioning system. Helensvale Library is also getting a fresh new layout, with books organised by genre to make it easier to browse, find favourites, and discover new reads.
The library, Councillor's office and customer service centre will be relocated to Westfield Helensvale during this time, to ensure the upgrades can be completed safely.
Location:
Westfield Helensvale (Upstairs on Level 1, next to Goodlife Gym – lift access available opposite Coles).
Opening hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9am – 5pm
- Saturday: 9am – 4pm
Limited services will be available at the temporary location. For access to our full library services during the closure, please find your nearest alternative library location.
