Membership

How to join

Gold Coast Libraries membership gives you access to a world of content and experiences, both in our libraries and online. Visit, borrow, download, discover and enjoy.

Membership is free for Gold Coasters and if you're a visitor, sign up for temporary membership while you're visiting our city!

Temporary online-only membership

If you can't get to a library, Gold Coast residents can join as a temporary online-only member to access to our great collection of digital resources.

Your request will be processed in two working days and your temporary online membership number will be emailed to you. You can then start downloading and streaming to your preferred device.

If you joined as a temporary member, please visit your nearest library with two forms of ID and we will be able to upgrade your membership as long as you still meet our membership conditions. See below for details of acceptable ID.
