Gold Coast Libraries' Print & Pay is the simple, safe and secure way to print from anywhere, even your own device.

It's a completely cashless self-managed print service offering the flexibility to send documents to a library printer, including from home. You can then visit one of our 11 library locations to collect your printing.

You can manage your account and top up your balance from anywhere. Scanning to a USB is free of charge.

Printing & copying

As a library member, you can use Print & Pay straight away by using your library card and PIN. To access and manage your printing, go to the Pharos Print Center, or download the Pharos Print app from your app store, enter the library server details: Print App Server: libprint.goldcoast.qld.gov.au and Print App Port 443 and then 'Connect' to log in. As a library member, your Pharos account is linked to your library account.

If you're a visitor to the Gold Coast, you can set up a guest account.

You can pay by a range of electronic payment methods – credit card, debit card, or PayPal account. Also, if needed our friendly library staff can assist to generate a proof-of-print receipt.

Charges

Our print and copy charges are:

Printing/photocopy (per A4 sheet / black and white) $0.20
Printing/photocopy (per A3 sheet / black and white $0.40
Printing/photocopy (per A4 sheet / colour) $0.40
Printing/photocopy (per A3 sheet / colour) $0.80

Scanning is free of charge. You can scan documents using a USB storage device or your email address.

PCs & Wi-Fi

Library customers can use our public PCs and access our free Wi-Fi.

You can also use the Microsoft Office suite of applications, as well access as a vast range of online library resources.

PC access

Customers can use a library PC, subject to availability.

Library members can book PCs up to a week in advance if you plan to visit at a busy time – ask at your library. You'll need your library card. If you're not a member, you may be able to use a PC on a walk-in basis if available. Identification will be required. 

Wi-Fi in libraries

Free Wi-Fi is available in all our libraries, as well as Mobile Library. To access our Wi-Fi, simply connect to the network called ‘#Surf Network – Free’.

Accessibility

We have a range of assistive equipment and technology to help you to access our resources more easily. Ask our friendly staff for details. The assistive equipment and technology offered at our libraries includes:

  • adaptive workstations
  • large key keyboards
  • handheld magnifiers
  • portable audio loop
  • recharge points – for mobility scooters and wheelchairs.
  • Adaptive workstations – height-adjustable desks, with large key keyboards (see below). Available at Helensvale, Nerang, and Southport libraries.
  • Large key keyboards – keyboards with extra-large and visible keys designed for users who need them. You can also book our PCs with large keyboards.
  • Handheld magnifiers – use one of our handheld magnifiers with inbuilt LED light, improving reading size and clarity. They're also perfect if you've left your glasses at home.
  • Audio loop – available at all library information desks, supporting people with hearing aids to access clearer and louder sound without distracting background noise. Let staff know if you require an audio loop at a library event.
  • Recharge points – for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. Available at Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads, Elanora, Helensvale, Nerang and Southport libraries.

Spaces

Library spaces

Gold Coast Libraries welcomes local not-for-profit community and social groups to book library meeting spaces to connect, learn and grow. 

Not-for-profit community and social groups that meet the eligibility criteria can book library meeting spaces free of charge. Bookings are subject to availability. Monthly bookings can be made for a maximum duration of 6 months.
