Language & literacy

Adult literacy

Gold Coast Libraries supports adult learners with both resources and programs. While our services are more limited than usual, we recommend the resources listed on the Reading Writing Hotline website. You may also like to browse our library catalogue for more online resources.

When operating, our adult literacy program enables adults with low literacy skills to connect with trained volunteer tutors. Tutors will work with you regularly at your local library on a one-on-one basis to help improve your skills. With a wide range of resources available that support learning, libraries provide an ideal location for volunteer tutors and learners to meet.

Please check this page for further updates about the program and when it will resume.
