Reading for reconciliation

Every year in Australia, National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) encourages Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to recommit to reconciliation and justice for First Nations’ People. The theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is ‘All In’ – a call for all Australians to commit to reconciliation wholeheartedly, every day, and take action to make change.

Reading for Reconciliation encourages readers to expand their knowledge and understanding of issues impacting Australia’s First Peoples through reading, often of works created by Indigenous authors.

You can start your Reading for Reconciliation journey through a variety of works in our Library catalogue.
