Burleigh Heads Library

The Library Lounge will be available for customers until the Burleigh Waters Library refurbishment works are complete. The Burleigh Heads Library will then transform into a creative arts hub, and the library services will transition to the upgraded Burleigh Waters Library.

In the meantime, visit the Burleigh Heads Library Lounge to:

Burleigh Heads Library is located on Park Avenue, opposite Burleigh Heads Bowls Club and next to the Alex Black Carpark.

What is planned for the Burleigh Heads Library site?

The Burleigh Heads Library site will be refurbished to create a creative arts hub for emerging visual artists aged 18 to 30. It will create pathways, mentorship and real-world creative opportunities.

What changes are occurring at Burleigh Waters Library?

The nearby Burleigh Waters Library (3.4km away) will be upgraded to provide a more modern library with improved facilities. The planned upgrade will create a better library experience through improvements to our services and facilities

Will the Burleigh Heads Library book return chute stay open?

Yes, the book return chute will remain open and has been upgraded to a 24/7 chute.

What if I can’t drive to Burleigh Waters?

Burleigh Waters Library is serviced by public transport, including Bus Route 765 which can be caught in Burleigh Heads, which stops directly outside the Burleigh Waters library. Or you may be eligible for our Home Library Service which delivers library items directly to your home.

Parking

The City's Alex Black Carpark offers paid parking directly outside the library. Accessible parking spaces are provided for people with disabilities. There is also street parking available nearby.
