Ormeau Community Lounge & Library

About

Borrow Box Feature
Join us for Storytime books, stories, rhymes, and songs at the Book Box corner, every Friday from 9:30am.

The Ormeau Community Lounge & Library is a space for the community to connect, based at the Ormeau Community Centre. Visit the centre to become a library member, borrow popular titles, place and collect holds, browse magazines and newspapers or just enjoy the space. Please note that there are no computers or printing facilities available at this location.

While here you can also visit our Book Box corner, an early years library and play-based learning space, offering fun for your little ones, and a great opportunity to support your children’s development and curiosity for learning.

Book Box opened in 2017 as part of a program developed by Gold Coast Libraries to support First 5 Forever goals. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. For more information visit the First 5 Forever website.
