Southport Library is in the heart of the Southport CBD and includes the Local Studies Library, a café and outdoor courtyard.

Southport Library offers a range of library services, spaces and activities:

  • Become a library member for free, you can join online or at the library.
  • Access our collection of books, audiobooks, magazines, picture books and more. Or learn how to access our digital eLibrary.
  • Attend a Family Time session for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.
  • Join a great range of programs and activities for all ages and interests.
  • Book a meeting room for your community group.
  • Work or study at a desks with power access and free Wi-Fi. Make sure to bring headphones as libraries can get loud at times.

Venue information

Southport Library is on the corner Garden and Lawson Streets, Southport, opposite the Southport Central precinct. The library is a five-minute walk from Southport tram station.

Parking

Time-limited free parking is provided outside the library, including accessible parking spaces for people with disabilities.
