Botanical Bookmarks

Celebrate the Grand Reopening of Helensvale Library & Cultural Centre with Botanical Bookmarks, a relaxed drop-in workshop for children and adults of all ages. Guided by local artist Sarah Gee, participants will design and decorate their own bookmark using watercolour pencils and paints, inspired by nature and botanical themes.

Choose from a blank bookmark or one of several illustrated designs to colour in, then bring your artwork to life with watercolour techniques using brushes and colour. Once dry, your handmade bookmark will be ready to take home and use.

Sarah Gee is a local early career artist inspired by nature, with a current focus on native and endangered insect species. Through her vibrant illustrations, paintings and sculptures, Sarah hopes to bring joy, spark curiosity and encourage care for our environment.

No bookings required — drop in anytime during the session. This workshop is located on the ground level foyer outside the Creative Lab.
