Minor culvert renewal annual program

City of Gold Coast culvert

The City of Gold Coast maintains over 2500 kilometres of stormwater drainage with an ongoing upgrade and renewal program. We will be renewing culverts (under-road stormwater drainage pipes) throughout the city that are close to the end of their serviceable life. These works are part of our $23 million stormwater drainage annual capital works program.

Construction details

  • The existing under road drainage pipes are to be excavated and replaced with new pipes.
  • Works are expected to take approximately 5 - 10 days at each site.
  • We will be working to ensure disruptions are kept to a minimum. However, local residents may experience construction noise at times.
