The City of Gold Coast now has an Incoming Sponsorship Policy and Procedure. This policy is to enhance the provision of community services and facilities by raising additional funding which may be used to supplement assets, program delivery, increase exposure to or cover operational costs.
The Incoming Sponsorship Policy and Procedure is in place to provide a centralised, ethical and coordinated approach to seeking, acquiring and managing incoming sponsorships and partnerships. It relates to all Council run and managed assets, programs, venues and events where Council directly receives monetary or in-kind support from a sponsor/partner.
Stay tuned for future opportunities.
The approval of Council’s incoming sponsorship agreements is based on value-for-money, open and effective competition, the development of competitive local business and industry, environmental protection, ethical behaviour and fair dealing and transparent decision-making, in accordance with Local Government Act 2009, section 104.
