Bin & rubbish collection

The City provides collection services across the region to meet your waste and recycling needs.

Waste collection services on public holidays

Collection services operate as usual over all public holidays including the Christmas and New Year holidays. Please ensure bins are placed on the kerbside the night before collections day and let your neighbours know.

General and recycling waste collection services

Residential bin collection - the City provides a weekly collection service for general waste (green bin) and a fortnightly collection service for recycled waste (yellow lid bin).

Find out more about these two services on our Residential bin collection page.

Our What to recycle? page provides information about what you can and can't recycle in your yellow lid recycling bins.

Green waste bin collection service

We offer an optional service for the collection of green waste (lime green lid bin), which is serviced fortnightly on the alternate week to the yellow lid recycling bin. This service costs around $1 per week.

Find out more on our Green waste bin collection page.

Collection service areas

Please see our collection service area maps for both residential bin collection and green waste bin collection to check your eligibility.
