A holistic precinct place making master plan for the Surfers Paradise Business Centre is currently underway and will be undertaken in consultation with the area’s business leaders and stakeholders.
The Surfers Paradise Business Centre is situated between The Esplanade and the Nerang River, and from Cypress/View Avenue south to Hanlan Street incorporating Appel Lane, Transit Centre to Watson Esplanade. Adjacent main destinations include the Chevron Island Town Centre, Q1 Tower and Skypoint Observation Deck, Surfers Paradise Foreshore and beach, with the future Cultural Precinct at Evandale currently under construction.
The objective is to enhance and maintain the unique identity of Surfers Paradise as an international landmark destination and major event precinct while improving transport, pedestrian access and providing infrastructure to develop and activate the streetscape.
Surfers Paradise is an integral part of the Gold Coast experience for local and international tourists, local residents and commercial enterprise. It is seen as a major event precinct, characterised by high rise apartments and mixed use urban precinct lifestyle including tourist accommodation, restaurants, serviced offices, recreational opportunities, varied retail outlets and businesses.
