Tallebudgera - Coplick Footbridge - replacement works

Road worker holding a slow sign

Commencing: June 2019
Completion: November 2019
Cost: $1.1 million

Project information

We will be replacing the Coplick Footbridge on Scotty Logan Lane in Tallebudgera to extend the life of the structure and ensure access over the creek continues to be safe for pedestrians and cyclists.

These works are part of our ongoing commitment to the development, maintenance and renewal of our city assets.

Construction details

The renewal works include:

Benefits for the community

The steel bridge will be brought to site in June and have preliminary paint protection works completed.

Construction works will also require the temporary closure of the existing footbridge for up to four weeks (timing TBC). Alternative pedestrian and cyclist access will be provided during construction to maintain this important pedestrian link for the Tallebudgera community. More information in relation to pedestrian detours will be provided in the near future.

We are working to minimise disruption. However, residents may notice construction noise and dust at times as trucks and other construction equipment will be required on site.

Works will take place between Monday to Friday from 6.30am and 5pm.

Please slow down and observe all warning signs during the works. Thank you for your patience.
