Located in the centre of the city, these parklands are a beautiful location for a stroll, picnic, swim or jog. Situated behind the Council Chambers and HOTA (formerly the Arts Centre Gold Coast), the parklands offer amazing views over the Nerang River. The Surfers Paradise skyline is your backdrop, making a beautiful photographic opportunity.
HOTA Parklands is also home to a swimming lagoon, popular with nippers training and recreational swims. The lagoon offers a sheltered swimming environment and is supported by surrounding amenities including toilets and showers perfect for that after swim refresh.
There are ample picnic areas with barbecues and shaded seating in the parklands. Parties, social gatherings and get togethers are popular in this scenic park. For bookings and enquires relating Home Of The Arts (HOTA) and St Margaret’s Chapel please contact HOTA directly for further information.
The kids playground is a great one - two separate slides and climbing spaces, all with sand underfoot and shade sails for those hot days. The playground is also fully fenced, great for the littlies. If exercise is what you are after, the lagoon offers a 677-metre loop. There are free exercise equipment stations located around the loop, perfect for strength training.
If you haven't been to the Parklands for years, check it out - it has lost none of its majestic charm, and is a reminder of the tranquillity of Gold Coast parks bordering the beautiful Nerang River.
