Visual arts

There is a wealth of visual arts activity on the Gold Coast underpinned by a strong pool of talented artists, artist-run initiatives and galleries. The City is currently working on initiatives in urban art and public art.

City Gallery

The City Gallery, located at HOTA, Home of the Arts, is one of Australia's most prominent regional galleries. The Gallery houses the renowned City Collection of contemporary and historical artworks documenting the character of the Gold Coast as well as the development of Australian art practice.

The City Gallery closed in July 2019 in preparation for the new HOTA Gallery, scheduled to open in early 2021.

The HOTA Gallery project will deliver a $60.5 million international-standard art gallery. A six-level, purpose-built visual arts facility for exhibitions, education and engagement.

Robina Community Art Gallery

The Robina Community Centre houses the Gold Coast Community Gallery. The gallery is an open platform for community and art groups to showcase their work through the annual exhibition program.

The Robina Community Art Gallery is available to local organisations, collectives and community groups for exhibiting artworks, subject to certain conditions.

Please note: Robina Art Gallery is not available for solo exhibitions and demand is high for exhibition dates, so bookings are subject to availability.

Robina Gallery is part of the Robina Community Centre complex in Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina.
