There is a wealth of visual arts activity on the Gold Coast underpinned by a strong pool of talented artists, artist-run initiatives and galleries. The City is currently working on initiatives in urban art and public art.
The City Gallery, located at HOTA, Home of the Arts, is one of Australia's most prominent regional galleries. The Gallery houses the renowned City Collection of contemporary and historical artworks documenting the character of the Gold Coast as well as the development of Australian art practice.

The HOTA Gallery project will deliver a $60.5 million international-standard art gallery. A six-level, purpose-built visual arts facility for exhibitions, education and engagement.
The Robina Community Centre houses the Gold Coast Community Gallery. The gallery is an open platform for community and art groups to showcase their work through the annual exhibition program.
