  • plumbing or drainage laid under a concrete slab
  • plumbing or drainage laid below ground and external to a building
  • plumbing installed in a building before cladding
  • final inspection when all work is complete.

You can book an inspection by using our online booking form below. Alternatively, you can call us on 07 5667 5977 from 8am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Cut off times for next day inspection bookings are 12pm for phone and 10am for online bookings. Note that conditions apply.

Please note: some inspection types are not currently listed on the form. These inspections can still be booked by adding the details to the comments field.

House drainage plans

City of Gold Coast requires plumbers to prepare and provide a copy of the as-constructed drainage plan at the time of inspection. The plumbing inspector will use this plan to assist with the conduct of the inspection and a copy will be uploaded to the City's record management system for future use. A copy of the house drainage plan template can be found below.

Testing and commissioning report

State Government have developed a single form (Form 5) which replaces City of Gold Coast certification of hydrostatic testing and heated water service testing and commissioning certificate. This form can now be used to verify the testing or commissioning of all stages of work. Please note, this form is not to be used for the testing of sanitary drains without prior approval.

Please ensure all relevant sections are signed and emailed to plumbing& before booking a final inspection.
