Post development approval & appeals
After your planning application is approved, there may be other approvals required before you can start your project.
These may include operational works, building approval, plan sealing and erosion and sediment control. Details of additional approvals required should be contained with the conditions of approval attached to the decision notice. It’s important to understand that penalties apply for unauthorised work and you may need to pay the Portable Long Service Levy for any building and construction work.
After development approval is received, if you’re satisfied with the decision, your next steps may include:
- plan sealing for subdivisions
- erosion and sediment control measures
- additional approvals for operational works, building works or plumbing and drainage
- payment of portable long service levy
- payment of infrastructure charges
- providing evidence of compliance of State referral conditions of approval.
For a material change of use (MCU) application, you will need to arrange a town planning final inspection. Use the online form below to book your inspection.
