Queensland Icon 2005 - The Gold Coast - brochure

Famous for its sun, surf and sand, the Gold Coast stretches along 57 kilometres of coastline. It has evolved from pioneering cottages and seaside shanties to one of the most famous holiday destinations in the world.

In 2005, the National Trust named the Gold Coast as one of Queensland's 36 icons. The project was aimed at recognising the things that represent an important part of Queensland's history or contribute to Queensland's cultural identity.
