Walk your dog, enjoy a picnic or take in the scenery of the Albert River at August Burrow Park. This park features an off-leash dog area, barbecue facilities, toilets and picnic shelter for families and friends to enjoy. It’s also a great access point for boaties and fishermen chasing mud crabs and exploring the lower reaches of the Albert River.
Dog exercise area
This park has an area where dogs may be exercised off-leash but under effective control - refer to the map below for details. Dogs must be walked on leash in all other areas.

A dog prohibited area is the signed part of a park, reserve, foreshore or beach where dogs are not permitted. Dogs are prohibited in all children's playground areas and within 200 metres of all flagged bathing areas. For more information visit our dog exercise areas page.
