The Gold Coast's Broadwater and many tidal and freshwater waterways provide a variety of opportunities for canoeing, kayaking and fishing from kayaks.

Southern Gold Coast

Currumbin Creek - Beree-Badalla Reserve, Thrower Drive, Palm Beach

Launch your kayak from Beree-Badalla Reserve and head either downstream along Currumbin Creek to Tarrabora Reserve or upstream to Coastal Meadows Park, Currumbin Valley.

Tallebudgera Creek - Tchoobey Reserve, Loman Lane, Tallebudgera

A great spot to launch your kayak and paddle downstream along the turquoise waters of Tallebudgera Creek, surrounded by mangroves and Tallebudgera Creek Conservation Park towards Burleigh Headland or upstream to the popular Schuster Park. Schuster Park is a great rest stop with facilities on site including picnic shelter, barbecue, playground and amenities.

Central Gold Coast

Jabiru Island Park, Oxley Drive, Paradise Point

From here you can kayak along Coombabah Creek to Helensvale and Hope Island. Follow the Coomera River and visit Coombabah Lake or the Southern Moreton Bay Islands or continue on to the Broadwater and South Stradbroke Island.

Northern Gold Coast

Colman Road Reserve, Colman Road, East Coomera

From here you can launch your kayak and explore McCoy’s Creek, Pimpama River, Southern Moreton Bay Islands, Jumpinpin Point or South Stradbroke Island via the Broadwater.

Cecil Zipf Park, Rocky Point Road, Woongoolba

Explore Logan River, Cabbage Tree Point, Southern Moreton Bay Islands and out to the Broadwater and South Stradbroke Island.

Jacobs Well Conservation Area/Lions Park, Jacobs Well

Kayak via the Logan River towards South Stradbroke Island.
