Walking netball is a modified version of netball so the rules are as follows:

  • A player must never have both feet off the ground at once (i.e. jumping).
  • When a player receives the ball, they can take one to two steps while in possession before they must pass or shoot.
  • A player may keep possession of the ball for up to four seconds before they must pass or shoot.

These rules make it a great game for elderly players, injured players, pregnant ladies, new mums, players new to the game or players back to the game or even players who just want a change.

The cost is $10 per person per game to cover costs of the venue and umpires, etc. There is a café at Gold Coast Sports and Leisure indoor stadium.

It is organised on a turn-up basis and players will be put into a team of seven per side, with no need to have a team organised, so it gives people the ability to be mixed with new people and have a great social game of netball.

Games will run from 9am to 11am on Fridays. As we are social and there is currently no competition schedule, if the venue is booked out, games will be postponed until following weeks.
